August 22: Premium Wine Club Dinner- Southern Mosaic in Red
Join Wasatch Academy of Wine as we welcome Stephanie Cuadra of Terrestoria Imports in presenting wines of Southern Italy. Southern Italy is a heterogenous grouping of incredibly diverse lands, histories and ethnographic realties, which is why referring to what Italians call the Meridione (‘the south’) in monolithic terms can be so misleading. To help put things into perspective, this flight of five red wines takes a deep dive into four distinct viticultural zones: from Basilicata and Puglia on the mainland to the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. A true enological mosaic.
Class will be held at Antica Sicilia 2020 East 3300 South, SLC, from 6-9pm. Class participants will be expected to purchase their dinner from a set menu with three entree choices and tip their server accordingly.
